Fasting in the month of Rajab & Shabaan.

Answer:
Fasting  in Rajab and Shabaan

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Hadrat Aisha (r.a.) reported that she did not witness the Messenger of Allah (saws) fasting more in any month other than Ramadan than in the month of Shaabaan.  It was the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saws) that he (saws) would fast many days in the month of Shabaan in preparation for the fasting of Ramadan, but he (saws) would stop fasting in the last few days of Shabaan so as not to mix them with the fasts of Ramadan.

Aishah said: "I never saw the Messenger of Allah (saws) fast a complete month save for Ramadan, and I have never seen him fast more in a month than he did in Sha'ban."

Related by al-Bukhari and Muslim.

Usamah ibn Zaid inquired: "O Messenger of Allah (saws), I never find you fasting in any month like you do during the month of Sha'ban."  The Prophet (saws) responded: "That is a month the people neglect. It comes between Rajab and Ramadan. It is a month in which the deeds are raised to the Lord of the Worlds. I love that my deeds be raised while I am fasting."
Related by Abu Dawud, an-Nasa'i, and by Ibn Khuzaimah.

Other than the month of Shabaan, there is no other month of the calendar which the Prophet (saws) specified as special or meritorious for voluntary fasting; but as was his normal practice he (saws) would, more often than not, perform voluntary fasts on the 13th, 14th and 15th of each of the other months, and the Mondays and Thursdays of the week.

There is absolutely no evidence in the authentic and established Sunnah that voluntary fasts during the month of Rajab has any more virtue or merit than the voluntary fasts of other months.

Answer:
Fasting in the month of Rajab

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol,  no person,  no grave, no prophet,  no imam, no dai,  nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

The only fasts that are obligatory on the believers, are the fasts of the Holy Month of Ramadan.  The believers, if they wish to do so, may voluntarily fast at other times of the year to earn extra reward from the Merciful Lord of the Worlds.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) used to observe voluntary fasts on the 13th, 14th, and 15th of every month, on Mondays and Thursdays of every week, on the 10th of Muharram,  and increase his fasts in the month of Sha’baan.    No man who ever walked on this planet earth worshipped Allah Subhanah more than the person of the noble Messenger of Allah, Mohamed ar-Rasool Allah (saws); and there is absolutely no evidence that the Messenger of Allah (saws) ever in his lifetime fasted the whole month of Rajab, or for that matter any whole month, other than the month of Ramadan.   The Messenger of Allah (saws) never did celebrate any particular night in the month of Rajab, nor did he specify any night to be celebrated as Shabe-Baraat or Shabe-Mairaaj!

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 4515  Narrated by Ali ibn AbuTalib
That the Prophet of Allah (saws) said: “If anyone introduces an innovation (in religion),  he will be responsible for it.   If anyone introduces an innovation or gives shelter to a man who introduces an innovation (in religion), he is cursed by Allah, by His angels, and by all the people.”

Sahih Muslim Hadith 1885     Narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah
That the Prophet of Allah (saws) said in a sermon:  “The best speech is that which is embodied in the Book of Allah, the Al Quran;  and the best guidance is the guidance given by me, Mohamed (saws).   The most evil affairs are the innovations,  and every innovation is an error.”

One may fast any number of voluntary fasts whenever he wants,  but to specify a particular day or a month,  and make a ritual out of it,  and claim that the fasting of these particular days has specific benefits without any proof or evidence from the Quran or Sunnah is nothing but an innovation in the deen brought by Prophet Mohamed (saws);  and as it with all innovations in the deen,  the believers,  who sincerely believe in Allah and the Last Day, must reject it.

IS IT PERMISSIBLE TO READ THE HOLY QURAN WITHOUT WUDU ? WITH TRANSLATION & TRANSLITERATION ?

QUESTION: IS IT PERMISSIBLE TO READ THE HOLY QURAN WITHOUT WUDU ? WITH TRANSLATION & TRANSLITERATION ?

Read Quran without Wudu?

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Assalamualaikum bro.. How are you? Is it permissible for us to read the Holy Quran in english without wudhu?? If yes, can both translation and transliteration of the Holy Quran be read without wudhu?? Kindly.clarify the doubt.. Please do remember us in your dua.. Take care.. Allah Hafiz..

Answer:

Read Quran without Wudu?

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 56 Surah Waqiah verse 77-79:That this is a Glorious Quran, inscribed in a well-guarded Book, which none can touch, except the purified.

Although the above aayah is meant to state how the Quran is honored by the noble angels in the heavens; the scholars have opined that just as the Quran is honored in the heavens by the angels, so should it be honored on the earth…. And thus, one should touch it only when one is pure and clean.

Thus, it is always preferred to be in a state of wudu when one recites the Quran from the Book.  But if one is reciting from memory, then there is no need to be in wudu.   And if one is sexually impure, then he must not even touch the Quran, unless he purifies himself with a full bath or ‘ghusl’.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Significance of Friday, (Jumah) & Why we should not say "Juma Mubarak" ?

Question: Significance of Friday, (Jumah) & Why we should not say "Juma Mubarak" ?
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

QUESTION: Sir can I ask you 1 que. please- "kya juma mubarak nahi bolna chahiye"
(There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.)

Answer:
Significance of friday & why we should not say "Juma Mubarak".
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and

whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "The best day on which the sun rises is Friday. [On Friday] Adam was created, and on that day he entered Paradise, and on that day he was expelled from Paradise. And the Hour will come to pass on Friday."
Related by Muslim, Abu Dawud, an-Nasa'i, and at-Tirmidhi.
Abu Hurairah reports that one Friday the Prophet (saws) said: "O gathering of Muslims, Allah has made this day (of Friday) an Eid for you, so make ghusl and use the miswak (on this day)."
        Related by at-Tabarani

Abu Sa'id reports that the Prophet (saws) said: "Every Muslim should have a ghusl on Friday and wear his best clothing, and if he has perfume, he should use it."

Related by Ahmad, al-Bukhari, and Muslim.

Abu Lubanah al-Badri relates that the Prophet (saws) said: "The most prominent (or leader) of the days is the day of Jumu'ah and the most honored in Allah's sight, and it is more honored in Allah's sight than the day of breaking the fast, or the day of sacrifice.  It has five significant merits: Allah created Adam on this day; on this day Allah sent Adam down to the earth; on this day Allah caused Adam to die; on this day, there is a time during which if anyone asks anything of Allah it will be granted to him unless he asks for something which is forbidden; and on this day, the Hour will be established. There are no Angels close to Allah or the sky or the earth or the wind or the mountain or the sea who are not worried concerning the day of Jumu'ah."
Related by Ahmad and Ibn Majah.

There is absolutely no denying the importance of the day of Jumua (Friday) in the sight of Allah Subhanah.  It is the most prominent day of the week, and the Lord Most Merciful has made this day of Friday a day of Eid for the believers.  But there is absolutely no evidence in the authentic and establsihed Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saws) or in the traditions of his noble companions whereby they would greet each other and congratulate one another on the advent of the day of Friday as they would do on the advent of Ramadan, or the advent of the Days of the two Eids. Thus it does not behove the believers in Allah and the Last Day to start an innovation by making it a habit or a ritual of wishing and greeting each other more than normal on the advent of each Friday!

Answer:

Remove hair wax bleach

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 7.779         Narrated by Abu Huraira
I heard the Prophet (saws) saying. "Five practices are characteristics of the Fitra (nature):removing the pubic hair, clipping the nails, depilating the hair of the armpits; and circumcision and cutting the moustaches short (for the males)

Both the believing men and the believing women are obliged to remove their unwanted hair from their pubic region and from under their armpits.  There is absolutely no restriction in Shariah regarding the method one may choose to remove their unwanted hair.  One may use any method one wills and pleases or is convenient for them including clipping, cutting, shaving, waxing, hair removal cream, etc.

There is absolutely no restriction in Shariah if a believing woman wishes to bleach the hair on any part of her body, except her eye-brow hair.

Sahih Al-Bukhari  7.815, Narrated by Abdullah

Allah has cursed those women who practice tattooing and those who get themselves tattooed, and those who remove (or alter) their eye-brow hairs, and those who create a space between their teeth artificially to look beautiful, and such women as change the features created by Allah.  Why then should I not curse those whom the Prophet (saws) has cursed?

WHAT IS BIDAH? IS THERE ANY THING LIKE GOOD BIDAH (Bidaye hasanah) OR BAD BIDAH?

QuestionWHAT IS BIDAH? IS THERE ANY THING LIKE GOOD BIDAH (Bidaye hasanah) OR BAD BIDAH?

Good or bad bida innovation.

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:
As slamualaikum wr wb
bro. i wnt to knw abt biddah e hsnais there ny thng like biddah e hsna in islaam??some people give me the ref. or sayaing of imaaw shafai rh n imaam nawawi rh on biddahe hsna

(There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.)

Answer:
Good or bad bida innovation

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

A bida or innovation is something which is invented, innovated, and added to the deen of Islam after the deen was completed on Prophet Mohamed (saws). It especially concerns the rites and rituals of worship,  or any act of worship which was not performed or endorsed by the Messenger of Allah (saws),  but was added as a part of the deen after his (saws’s) death.   It also concerns any innovated deed which one does and believes that by doing this innovated deed, he is eligible to earn more reward from Allah Subhanah.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzab verse 21:
There is indeed the best example for you to follow in the Messenger of Allah, for every such person looks forward to Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah much.

Dear and Beloved brother in Islam, it is the solemn belief of every true believer who sincerely fears Allah and the Last Day, that there was, is, or never will be anyone in the annuls of creation who worshipped Allah Subhanah more or better than the Noble Last and Final Messenger of Allah, Mohamed ar-Rasool Allah (saws)!

Thus if anyone dares to comes up with any act of worship like celebration, commemoration, or prescribes importance to any prayer, or fast, or night or day, or invents, innovates, or adds anything in the deen of Islam which is not endorsed by the Noble Prophet (saws), then it implies one of three things:
  1. that the person who claims that worship is due on this specific night in this specific way loves and worships Allah more than the Noble Prophet (saws)!!!
  2. or, that the person knows more than the Noble Prophet (saws)!!!or, that the person has received revelations from Allah Subhanah after the death of Prophet Mohamed (saws)!!!

Allah is our witness brother, if anyone in the annuls of creation ever claims to have any of the above three qualities is nothing more than a confirmed and manifest liar!; for Allah is our witness, no man in the annuls of creation loved or worshipped their Lord more than Prophet Mohamed (saws), no man in the annuls of creation had more knowledge of the Truth than the Noble Prophet Mohamed (saws), and Allah is our witness, the Last and Final Revelations of The Lord Most Majestic were revealed on Prophet Mohamed (saws), and there is none who will or can receive revelations after him (saws)!

If one brings, invents, adds or innovates any act or deed in religion which has not been specifically endorsed by Allah and His Messenger (saws), then it has to be a ‘bida’ (innovation in the religion after the deen was completed on Prophet Mohamed (saws)), and Allah is our witness, every innovation in the deen of Islam is an error in the Sight of Allah Subhanah!

The most evil affairs are the innovations (bida), and every innovation (bida) is an error.”

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 4515  Narrated by Ali ibn AbuTalib
That the Prophet of Allah (saws) said: “If anyone introduces an innovation (bida in religion), he will be responsible for it.   If anyone introduces an innovation (bida) or gives shelter to a man who introduces an innovation (bida), he is cursed by Allah,  by His Angels, and by all the people!”

Your Question:
As slamualikum wr wb..,,
bro. can i have a scn for ths plz hlp
Ibn Al-Majishun reported: I heard Imam Malik say, “Whoever introduces an innovation (bid’ah) into Islamthat he views as good has acted treacherously toward the message of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, for Allah said: Today I have completed your religion(5:3). Whatever was not part of the religion that day is notpart of the religion today.”Source: Al-I’tisam Al-Imam Ash-Shatibi 65 With regard to innovations (bida‘, pl. of bid‘ah), this word refers to everything forwhich there is no precedent. In linguistic terms it includes both praiseworthy and blameworthy matters, but among the scholars of Islam it usually refers to that whichis blameworthy. If the word is applied to something that is praiseworthy, then it is to be understood according to its linguistic meaning. (Fath al-Baari, 13/340)Yes

Respected brother in Islam, any act of worship, or any rite or ritual in Islam, or any celebration or commemoration, etc. whereby one aspires to attain the Good Will and Pleasure of Allah Subhanah, will either have to be from amongst the Sunnah, or it will be a ‘bida’ or an innovation which was added to the deen of Islam after the death of the Messenger of Allah (saws).

Respected brother, we absolutely assure you that there is no such thing as a ‘good’ bida or innovation in Islam…..every ‘bida’ or innovation added to the pure and perfect deen of Islam after the death of the Messenger of Allah (saws) would be unacceptable, a grave error, and a heinous sin in the Sight of Allah Subhanah!

Aisha narrated that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: ‘If somebody innovates something which is not present in our religion, then that thing will be rejected.’
Related by Bukhari.

If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),   one can be assured of never ever being misled;   but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led astray.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

CONTROLLING THE TONGUE AS PER QURAN & SUNNAH: Allaah Subhanawu Tala says: “Not a word does one utter, except that there is an (angel)Watching, Ready to record it.” (Al-Quran,Surah:50, Sure:Qaaf, Auah18)

Assalamu alaikum warahamtullahi, My brothers and sisters

Allaah the Most High says: “Not a word does one utter, except that there is an (angel)Watching, Ready to record it.” [Surah Qaaf: 18]

Know that every individual who falls under the category of being responsible for his actions (mukallaf) must safeguard his tongue from all types of speech , except for that speech which consists primarily of some benefit. So when speaking and refraining from speech are both found to contain the same amount of benefit within them, then the Sunnah is to refrain from it, altogether. This is because the allowable speech (equal in benefit and harm) paves the way towards that which is forbidden as well as disliked. Rather, in most cases, this will be the outcome and applying safety, at that point, will not be able to soothe it in the least.

Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam) said: “Whosoever believes in Allaah and the Last Day, then let him speak good or remain silent.” [Saheeh Al-Bukhaaree]

This hadeeth, of which the scholars have agreed upon its authenticity, is a clear proof that one should not talk, unless his speech is good—and that is the speech that consists primarily of benefit. So if one has doubt as to whether or not his speech consists of benefit, then he should not speak.

Abu Moosaa Al-Ash’aree said: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allaah Which of the Muslims is best?’ He (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam) said: ‘He whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe from.’” [Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim]

Sahl Ibn Sa’ad reported that the Messenger of Allaah (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam) said: “Whosoever can guarantee for me (that he will safeguard) what is between his jaws (tongue) and what is between his legs (private parts), I will guarantee for him Paradise.” [Saheeh Al-Bukhaaree]

Sufyaan Ibn ‘Abdillaah reported that he said: “O Messenger of Allaah (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam) , tell me of a matter that I may cling tightly onto.’ He (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam) said: ‘Say: I believe in Allaah and then remain steadfast (upon that).’ I said: ‘O Messenger of Allaah (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam) , what is the most serious thing that I should fear for myself?’ So he (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam) took a hold of his tongue and said: ‘This.’” [An authentic hadeeth reported by At-Tirmidhee, Ibn Maajah and others]

O Allah guide the us the right path and safeguard our tongue.

SOMETIME IN EMERGENCY IF WE URINATE WITHOUT USING WATER OR STONE SHOULD WE HAVE TO TAKE GHUSUL & IF THERE IS NO WATER FOR GHUSUL? & WHAT IS TAYYAMMUM.?

SOMETIME IN EMERGENCY IF WE URINATE WITHOUT USING WATER OR STONE SHOULD WE HAVE TO TAKE GHUSL & IF THERE IS NO WATER FOR GHUSUL? & WHAT IS TAYAMMUM?

i am from bombay where there are public toilets withoutwater sometimes because of emergency i urinate without water or stone so afterreaching home should i have ghusl or just clean the private parts.

Anas related that the Prophet(saws) said, "Stay clean of urine, as the majority of punishment in the grave is due to it."
Related by ad-Daraqutni.

Ibn 'Abbas related that the Messenger of Allah (saws) passed by two graves and said, "They are beingpunished. But they are not being punished for a great matter (on their part). One of them did not clean himself from urine and the other used to spreadslander."
Related by Muslim and Bukhari.

Regardless of where one relieves oneself, it is absolutely obligatory on a believer who sincerely believes in Allah and the Last Day, to cleanse himself after answering the call of nature with water, or stone, or rock or in their absence any other cleansing agent. A believer should never ever urinate and not cleanse his private parts immediately after.

WHAT IS TAYAMMUM?
TAYAMMUM: IF THERE IS NO WATER AVAILABLE FOR WADU ABLUTION.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse 6:O you who have believed, when you rise to offer the ‘salaah’ you must wash your faces and hands, and arms up to the elbows, and wipe your heads with wet hands, and wash your feet up to the ankles.   And if you have become unclean (due to sexual intercourse, etc.), cleanse yourself with a full bath.   If, however, you are sick or on a journey, or if any of have relieved himself, or if you have ‘touched’ women(meaning sexual intercourse), and you can find no water;  then cleanse yourselves with pure dust.  Strike your palms on it andwipe your hands and faces with it.   Allah does not will to make life hard for you, but He wills to purify you and complete His blessing upon you, so that you may show gratitude.

How to do tayammum ?
Find pure dust or sand
Say ‘Bismillah’ and strike both your palms on the dust
With left palm and fingers, lightly wipe the back of the right hand from the wrist to the fingers.
With right palm and fingers, lightly wipe the back of your left hand from the wrist to the fingers.
(optional to strike the pure dust again)
With both palms and fingers, lightly wipe your face from forehead to chin
You

are now in wudu and available for prayer.
